With 13 years of experience in Public Relations, PR Mike has built a reputation for being a genuine connector between the station and the community. Before stepping into the world of PR, Mike served as an Assistant Manager for Stage Stores, where he developed the strong people skills and work ethic that still define him today.

What Mike loves most about his job is the opportunity to meet people in the community and give back to families, organizations, and local businesses. Whether he’s at an event, working behind the scenes, or helping spotlight a local cause, Mike’s passion for community is always front and center.

Music has always been a huge part of Mike’s life and culture. Raised on Spanish music, he has a deep love for the Tejano genre, which he listened to daily growing up. While Tejano remains close to his heart, Mike enjoys many different genres and believes music is one of life’s greatest connections.

Something listeners might be surprised to know? Mike is very private and shy and doesn’t enjoy being the center of attention — even though his job often puts him right in the middle of it! Outside of work, he enjoys yard work and says his favorite hobby is simply staying tidy, which he believes creates a peaceful, clutter-free life.

Mike’s favorite local hangout is home, surrounded by family and close friends. When it comes to food, you can’t go wrong with fried chicken, and his favorite drink is always sweet tea. His first pop concert was Janet Jackson, and while picking a dream concert is hard, he says any great artist would be worth seeing.

Mike lives by the reminder that “It’s only temporary,” and one of his favorite sayings is “Pos quen sabe?” — “Who knows?”

When it comes to connecting with the community, Mike especially enjoys doing so through local events, where families and friends gather to celebrate, relax, and make memories together.
